New Directions

Its been over a year since I have posted anything to my blog, things have been non-stop since going back to school!  I hope you enjoy the work I have been posting to the site, I have started creating works that are more in line with my goals for the future... after graduation, I hope to find work in creative visual development, or look development.

I am most interested in character and costume design, and I would be happy designing for theater, film, animation - even gaming, because - like - we can't all look like those characters, you know?  It is very important to me that the work I do supports my values; I want to tell stories about strong women and girls, and the folks that partner with and support them. There are so many important stories to tell about so many fascinating kinds of people - as a mother of 3 young daughters, the stories of valiant girls are important to me.

I could not be where I am today without everyone who supported Illustrated Bride. Thanks for coming on this adventure with me!

I recently had the pleasure of providing some preliminary line art illustrations to BBDO Proximity Minneapolis for the new Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices ad campaign! One of my illustrations was published as part of an ad for Real Estate Magazine in August (which was amazing), and I created other illustrations that were used by BBDO in-house during the planning stages of the campaign. This work included samples of line art web icons, future ad art, and storyboards for possible commercials - click here to view the project:

Congrats to BBDO and BHHS on the first official national ad launch in September!
